…stan is just a pawn in their little game against democracy. They have bigger goals. Or, at least that is what seems to be the case right now. Every piece of evidence suggests that the Taliban are going after the government of Pakistan and its reward of nuclear weapons. Since the beginning of the year, the Taliban has pretty much invaded Pakistan. It all started when the democratically elected president of Pakistan, Ali Arif Zardari, permitted Isl…

… seemed on the superficial level to offer continuity, it was actually an ideological reversal, back to the Liberal wing of the Republican Party. Though he lambasted his opponent Michael Dukakis, tarring him with the “Liberal” label, which Reaganism had turned into a dirty word, Bush himself was every bit a Progressive. His admitted trouble with “the vision thing” prevented him from continuing with Reagan’s unfinished work: shrinking government, e…

… their noses at President Obama right now and he is doing nothing about it. Meanwhile, the Taliban continues its march towards Islamabad and its nuclear weapons with nothing from the Obama Administration other than threats to Pakistan that if they don’t do something quick, we will. As each day passes, I’m just wondering how far this is going to go before the President does something? In my opinion, it had better be soon. In just the last two days…

…, declares the meetings successful, but nothing happens. Then, in a video that was not played at all by the liberal media in the United States, none of the Russian government officials shake his hands. In fact, they snub him. Pakistan came very close to falling to the Taliban and is still fighting them off. That was not a typo, Pakistan, not Afghanistan. We have increased our presence in Afghanistan, but we still can not make any inroads. In fact…

…ly spiraling down into a very deep abyss and if we’re not careful they will take most of the world with them. Egypt, after a successful over thrown of the tyrant Hosni Mubarack, is slowly slipping back into a military state. Pakistan is on the verge of a military coup to over throw it’s legally elected government and Syria is still killing its citizens at will, right in front of the eyes of UN observers. Straits of Hormuz Iran is inching still c…

The week has been a little slow politically. The unemployment numbers for April came out and depending on your frame of reference were either great or not that bad. In my opinion, five hundred thousand jobs lost in one month is not good. But, I am in the minority on this according to polling in the last few days. On other fronts, Pakistan has started a major offensive against the Taliban. There is still no real word on whether it has been succes…

…of the Obama Coalition”, Thomas Edsall, by pushing “takers” into a non-working, entitlement, nanny state, socialistic philosophical ideology. Republicanism is not lost but it is certainly a candidate for a “Progressive Lite” label….or what as “Congress is Useless” all about? http://www.hollywoodrepublican.net/2011/11/congress-is-useless/ And all that is supported in academia today is under the myth of “academic freedom”. Collectivism and totalit…

… of these circumstances, the use of the word hero is trivialized. A deeper problem is that ides of myth, legend and story hold a society’s culture together. The concept of the hero is central to these. By misapplying the hero label and refraining from using it when needed takes our culture in the wrong direction. I hope we can recover the sense of propriety about who we call a hero and what they did to be considered brave before it’s too late. A …

…s they build nuclear weapons. So you have the president over here in a fantasy, and it is a fantasy. It sounds good. It would be wonderful, it just doesn’t fit this particular planet. And over here you have North Korea, Pakistan, Iran, Al Qaeda and a whole host of other potential enemies who are just methodically doing their thing. And I think the greatest danger is that we will end up confusing words with reality in a way that someday we…
