Republicanism is not lost but it is certainly a candidate for a “Progressive Lite” label….or what as “Congress is Useless” all about? http://www.hollywoodrepublican.net/2011/11/congress-is-useless/ And all that is supported in academia today is under the myth of “academic freedom”. …ix. Let us examine a few other examples: What about the current Administration’s outlook on foreign affairs? President Obama, during his campaign, said that he would talk and negotiate with the radicals in Iran, Venezuela and North Korea. Since he has become President, what has this policy gotten him; nothing. Iran continues its nuclear ambitions unabated. Venezuela continues poking its nose at the United States and its President. And, North Kore…

Also, as of this morning, the US deployed two destroyers towards North Korea to monitor North Korea’s pending missile tests. …rica, including chemical weapons, which could kill millions of US citizens. Obama did include the caveat that countries must be in compliance with the nonproliferation obligations under international treaties. This means that North Korea and Iran may be exempt from this dramatic policy shift, but that decision is tied to UN governance, not the sovereignty of the United States. The president’s new policy will also remove our nuclear arsenal …

…r than the UK, most of the leaders, just rebuked his policies. Among them, is the leader of the small Czech Republic. Of course, we are now weaker on the world stage because of his trip. As you all know from my prior columns, North Korea tested a long range missile last week and is continuing with its nuclear ambitions. Iran is also continuing its nuclear development programs. So much so, that Israel has told President Obama, “Either you take car…

… own decision whether it wanted to be slave or free? The South argued that since slavery was guaranteed by the Constitution, any state applying for admission to the Union had the right to declare its choice on this issue. The Northern Abolitionists felt the Federal Government had the right to limit slavery and to eliminate slavery in the Southern states which practiced it. The Republican Party of the time was split on the issue, but mostly believ…

…”A film is a lot like a puzzle, with each piece – each shot, no matter how brief – needing to fit exactly with the ones around it. Our Part Two puzzle is finally coming into full view, and in a few weeks we’ll be heading back north to pick up some additional shots – the last tiny missing pieces.” Red Tails Director Bill Hemingway, describing re-shoots for his film about Tuskegee Airmen, said: ”We all knew there was going to be additional photo…

Today is MLK Day, a federal holiday observing the birthday of the foremost spokesperson for nonviolent activism in the American civil rights movement, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Although Dr. King, a registered Republican, was born on January 15, the holiday is always observed on the third Monday in January as part of The Uniform Monday Holiday Act. The federal holiday wasn’t an easy one to get passed in Congress. It was initially introduced …

…he straits of Hormuz preventing tankers that carry about one quarter of the world’s oil from leaving their ports. The US has vowed to keep the straits open but we all know what that will mean; more American lives at risk. In North Korea the body of its President Kim Jong Il wasn’t even cold in the grave when it was announced his son, Kim Jong Un was to succeed him as the country’s head murderer.
