… is effectively promising not to take America back to pro-growth Reaganomics. Cowed by President Obama’s class warfare rhetoric, Romney promises to eliminate taxes on capital gains, interest, and dividends, but only for middle income Americans. He says he would do that because they, not the wealthy, were the ones most hurt by the recession. But effective tax policy does not distribute tax cuts based on who “needs” a tax cut the …

…ullah Abdullah decided to drop out of the runoff election scheduled for this week. Karzai wins by default. It appears anyone with a semblance of intelligence in Afghanistan wants nothing to do with a US backed government. The Middle East…different administration…same crap. Nothing new here. The Palestinians won’t come back to the peace talks until the Israeli’s stop building settlements. The Israeli’s said how about we build a few more and see wh…

… Meir in 1977 How can you think about building a better future… if you indoctrinate your children to a culture of death?–Hillary Clinton That is just a little look into the emotions that drive the conflicts in the Middle East. It’s not a pretty picture, hatred never is. Since Israel’s birth in 1948 this small country has fought seven wars against vastly superior enemies. They have won them all. They had no choice because each war foug…

…’. If this were a ‘normal’ recession, we’d see the unemployment rate bottom out and then return to the normal 4-5% range. Unfortunately, I think what we’re going to see is a jobless recovery and the further destruction of the middle class. 1. We no longer build things. As Frank is so apt to point out, we cannot compete against other countries whos standard of living is below ours. This makes it impossible for company’s to invest in manufacturing…

…ammar Gaddafi did it in the Gulf of Sidra in 1986; Saddam Hussein did it when he invaded Kuwait in 1990 and now it’s Al-Qaeda and Hezbollah’s turn. Many say the United States simply does not understand the people of the Middle East. I say it is the Middle Eastern countries that fail to understand the people of the United States. Americans can scream and yell at each other, even severely criticize their leaders but when you threaten us we un…

…e one of the only branches of government that will be permitted to grow during a Republican Administration. We should do everything in our power to support a strong, safe and prosperous Israel. It is our strongest ally in the Middle East. It is also the homeland of one of the largest minorities in the country and a religious homeland for millions of Christians. Keeping Israel safe and prosperous, gives us the ally necessary to defend our borders …

…ed with my piece on Tax Rate Matters. The left’s talking point is simple, we are merely returning upper rates toward the Clinton years. And, when we take from the rich or if the government gives money to the poor and middle class, economic prosperity happens. The problem with these arguments as I pointed out repeatedly is they got the economic history of the 90’s wrong and they have no clue on what their own side is actually proposing. …

… the Roman’s who had more holidays and festivals then all today’s religions combined. The holiday we will be most concerned with is the celebration of their god Saturn. The festival was called Saturnalia which began the middle of December and ended January 1st. With cries of “Jo Saturnalia!” the celebration would include masquerades in the streets, big festive meals, heavy drinking, visiting friends, and the exchange of good-luc…

…Pakistan to get control of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons. This is unacceptable. The second response “The Rich” is also idealistic. How much more taxation do you think the rich are going to take before they completely revolt? The middle class and blue collar workers at the Tea Parties on Saturday show that they are fed up. And, they are not paying nearly as much of their income as the rich. If you add another 5% to the marginal tax rate as proposed i…

He is smiling now about the Middle East. How long will it last? Let us give Obama credit for one thing, there is one less evil dictator in the world and the world is a better place. To see Gaddafi’s body paraded in the street, one is reminded of the demise of Mussolini, who was hung up along with his mistress. (Mrs. Mussolini, who survived the war, must have enjoyed that sight of seeing his husband’s mistress upside down with her late husband)….
