…queducts, wastewater treatment plants and drainage systems o Communication: Radio and television networks, satellite networks, computer networks, the internet Of these critical infrastructures, I would argue that power, or energy production and distribution, is the most sensitive to disruption; not just from physical attack, but because the very sources of energy we rely upon are largely imported from politically and socially unstable regions …

Protestors opposed to the Keystone XL Pipeline are claiming victory now that Pres. Obama has decided not to decide. As I’ve often written, it’s wonderfully entertaining when liberal utopian schemes collide. The latest is the union dream of a privately funded $7 billion infrastructure project providing 5,000 – 6,000 good paying jobs and abundant, affordable energy powering American industry, interfering with the fringe environmental activist goal…

…he homeland of one of the largest minorities in the country and a religious homeland for millions of Christians. Keeping Israel safe and prosperous, gives us the ally necessary to defend our borders from Muslim extremists. 9. Energy Independence – We will do whatever is necessary to stop shipping our fortune overseas to countries that don’t like us. We must learn from the past and not repeat it. In the 1970’s oil was short and prices went up. The…

…rack Obama to approve the pipeline, which would carry 700,000 barrels of crude a day from Canada’s oil sands to refineries on the U.S. Gulf of Mexico coast, because they say it will create jobs and help the nation become more energy independent. TransCanada said the project may add 20,000 jobs. TransCanada fell 64 cents to $41.10 at 1:39 p.m. in New York, and earlier today touched $39.74. Terry Cunha, a TransCanada spokesman, said in an e-mail th…

…y the Chinese and the Saudi Arabians, you have to ask yourself to what extent, at an economic level, are we going to face a national security crisis. The fact that they (the Obama administration) are determined to cripple our energy industry at a time when virtually every American realizes that having national security and energy, keeping the money here at home, creating less expensive energy here, is vital to our economic future. And then you co…

… seemed on the superficial level to offer continuity, it was actually an ideological reversal, back to the Liberal wing of the Republican Party. Though he lambasted his opponent Michael Dukakis, tarring him with the “Liberal” label, which Reaganism had turned into a dirty word, Bush himself was every bit a Progressive. His admitted trouble with “the vision thing” prevented him from continuing with Reagan’s unfinished work: shrinking government, e…

…nd if proven could be an actual impeachable offense if the President was behind it. So, our goal should be to “Vote Them Out.” In the next six months we should do whatever we can to “Vote Them Out.” We should take all of the energy that is going into complaining about the Democrats, Progressives, Lefties or whatever you want to call them, and put that same energy into voting them out. And, let me continue by saying, “the process of getting rid …

…story is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. It is incomprehensible that the man who wrote and delivered that speech against apartheid would ever side…

The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, more commonly known as the Cap and Trade Bill is dangerous for the country and potentially disastrous for the economy. I cannot say this more simply. This bill which is designed to lower emissions and stop global warming will do nothing except raise the average Americans’ expenses and cause the loss of many American jobs. The bill passed in the House last week by a margin of less than ten votes…

The year was 1980. The President was Jimmy Carter. Under Carter’s leadership, the United States was experiencing stagflation, high unemployment, an energy crisis was brewing, and the Iran hostage crisis was in full effect. While he began his term with a 66% approval rating, it had dropped to 34% (with 55% disapproving). It was also an election year… and Ronald Reagan was Carter’s opponent. On November 4, 1980, Reagan took 44 states and won …
