…of the Obama Coalition”, Thomas Edsall, by pushing “takers” into a non-working, entitlement, nanny state, socialistic philosophical ideology. Republicanism is not lost but it is certainly a candidate for a “Progressive Lite” label….or what as “Congress is Useless” all about? http://www.hollywoodrepublican.net/2011/11/congress-is-useless/ And all that is supported in academia today is under the myth of “academic freedom”. Collectivism and totalit…

To begin with, I would like to thank Ira Schwartz for his contribution to the blog this week. The article was very informative and directly to the point on HR 3200 which in my opinion, is one of the worst pieces of legislation ever to be considered by Congress. It, not only, would lead us down the path of socialism, but, in the process, would bankrupt the entire country. Mr. Schwartz gave a very succinct and direct critique of the bill. However,…

Congress is back in session after its hot and grueling August recess. More than a few of its members were drilled incessantly by citizens upset about the pending passage of HR 3200 and/or its progeny. Tomorrow, President Obama will address the nation on health care reform. It will be his final pitch to the country in hopes that he can regain his splendor with the American public which has been fairly tarnished over the whole issue. Yesterday, th…

…y laid at the doorstep of the President. No President has won re-election with those kind of numbers. So why should Republicans be worried? First of all, the overall negatives on Obama are nothing compared to the negatives on Congress — 84 percent disapprove of Congress and while the astronomically high number reflex a good bit of “a pox on both your houses” — shouldn’t Republicans be worried that Congress in 2011 is…

…om the Missouri Compromise until the election of Abraham Lincoln, the issue of States’ sovereignty came up many times on this issue alone. Prior to the start of Secession in 1860 and the Civil War, many battles were fought in Congress over whether the individual states had the right to be slave or free. The issue was quite simple. Could a state enter the union based upon its own decision whether it wanted to be slave or free? The South argued th…

…backs with the unions that many thought were impossible. This is what is driving the proposed bailout today. The unions lose in bankruptcy court almost every time. And, they lose big. Do you think the newly elected Democratic Congress can permit their strongest allies to go down? No way! If the UAW and affiliated unions get beat down as a result of these proposed bankruptcies, the Democratic Congress will have failed their strongest power brokers…

… 30% in February. The economy is shrinking, although at a much slower pace than Obama and Pelosi want you to think. And, what do our friendly Democrats say they want to do to end this recession? What do you think? Spend more. Congress is already contemplating another stimulus package after spending 870 billion dollars of “fake” money a few weeks ago. Let’s give more people more free money. That’s what I always say. Oh, I’m sorry, not me, the Demo…

Wheels are turning to install Joseph Kennedy III in the Congressional seat heavily imprinted by Barney Frank Is anyone else out there suffering from Kennedy fatigue? Right after commenting on Joe Kennedy II’s despicable partnership with Socialist rat Hugo Chavez, I learn that Joe Kennedy III is launching his own exercise in subversion for self-aggrandizement, linking himself with the no-less-odious Barney Frank. Frank, having accomplished all on…

… watching several episodes of SNL this season, it finally dawned on me that something – or someone – was missing from their cross-hairs… Obama. Rather, the concentration has been solely on Republicans… whether Republicans in Congress or Republican Presidential hopefuls. And that concentration is consistently negative. Why would SNL, a show intended to attract the 18-to-34 age demographic, work tirelessly to make George W. Bush, Sarah Palin, Dic…

…ilding settlements without requiring the Palestinians to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist. The speech was also very Wilsonian. I could imagine the words of Woodrow Wilson pitching the League of Nations to the United States Congress after the end of World War One. The League of Nations . . . “is a definite guaranty of peace. It is a definite guaranty by word against aggression. It is a definite guaranty against the things which have just come …
