Last week, President Barack Obama asked Congress under the War Powers Act to continue to allow the air assaults against ISIL. However, he did not request authority to put Boots on the Ground. He stated he believed we could win this war by just continuing the status quo. Air strikes would be sufficient to achieve the military’s goals. And, to make matters worse, he insisted on putting a three year time limit on this campaign.
