My Experience with the Veteran’s Administration

May 31, 2014
Veteran's Administration

The administrators are completely useless and the doctors are incapable of doing anything except the most rudimentary tasks. Getting an appointment to see a dentist to fix broken and falling out teeth takes six months or more. Emergency procedures are ineffective. In fact, one time when my friend had what appeared to be a minor stroke, he was taken to a private hospital at the request of his brother. The private hospital admitted him and then immediately tried to discharge him because of his Veteran’s Administration status. His brother then again threatened everybody to keep the treatmet at the private hospital and even got the VA to approve payment to the private hospital. He was finally admitted and treated properly. I’m sure if he went to the VA emergency room that day, he would be dead.

MSA Run

May 19, 2014
MSA

Well March, which is MSA Awareness Month across the world has come and gone. From the beginning of my diagnosis, I have been very involved in bringing awareness as well as raising funds to find a cure for this terrible disease. Unfortunately, as time goes by, these activities take more and more out of me and I find myself leaning on others to help get the job done. My deepest appreciation to Susan and Angelina.
