I have to apologize to all my readers… I’ve been away. Yep, I’ve been too busy to write. So, I am sorry.
Now, what have I been busy doing? Good question. Well, after 6 years of trying to have a child, my wife and I finally got pregnant through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) — a process of fertilization by manually combining an egg and sperm in a test tube, well, actually a laboratory dish. It turns out that getting pregnant really takes a miracle to happen for everyone… and many of our friends also had difficulty getting pregnant too. It’s more common than people think.
Well, after a quick 8 months, my wife went into preterm labor and was assigned bed rest for several weeks. And then on December 12, 2012… our son, Thomas Douglas Ross, was born. He was 19 inches long and weighed in at 6 pounds 9 ounces.

Even with all my obligations and helping out more than usual as my wife was on bed rest, I was able to get my articles in… but since he’s been here, life is much — MUCH — different.
We’re still finding our way in raising this child. Trying to learn the short cuts. Ways to free up time. And it is slow going and ever evolving. We’ll eventually better manage our time and get more sleep and I will get my articles done on time.

But in the meantime, I’m just going to relax and enjoy our little Christmas miracle!
Merry Christmas everyone!
