Who is Obama?

The Real Obama

When Jack Cashill advance his theory that President Obama did not write Dreams of My Father but that the book was actually written by Bill Ayers, my first thought was that this would end Obama’s political career if proven true for the simple reason that Obama was promoted as a Philosopher-King.  Cashill made a good case but for the most point, no one really pursued or even explored the idea that while Obama may not have written much of his classic; it would not have surprised me if he had help in editing and maybe a ghost writer aiding in spots.  Now we have found out that Obama’s literary agents managed to make the birthers less crazy by putting in their PR materials that their client was born in Kenya.  For the record, I am not a birther and I do believe that Obama was born in the United States, but I do find this episode disturbing, for either Obama is a liar, or filled with a vivid imagination.  Or, he is simply so incompetent that he allowed his agents to tell the world he was born in Kenya for sixteen years.  Maybe it is mere symbolism that he was really not born in Kenya but he felt so estranged from America that he felt that he really wasn’t born in America either.  Regardless, if this was reported in December of 2007 in Iowa; how long would his campaign have lasted?

Throughout 2007 and 2008, Obama was one of the least vetted Presidents and much of what we are finding out now could easily have been found out while he was running for President the first time.  But if nothing else, maybe we’re finding out that Dreams of My Father was less an autobiography,  but a creation of mythology,  the Philosopher-King coming to the grip of who he was.   How does a multiracial man whose father was from a third world country and whose mother was the white daughter of middle class America view himself?

We did not elect a President as much as a Messiah whose goal was to transform America into an Utopia away from its ugly past.  In 2008, Obama was portrayed as a moderate but he is a man of the left and his economic plan is European social democracy lite (Translation, a democratic socialist, the same ideology that is collapsing Europe.)  From essentially nationalizing our health care, Government Motors and the EPA declaring war on our energy productive capacity; we have seen a major expansion of government and an even bigger expansion of debt.

Power line blogger Paul Mirengoff observed, “We know that as an adult, Obama continued to associate, and started with working, with the same kind of left-wing radicals he had gravitated towards as a youth.  And when he found religion, it was in the form of the Black liberation theology of Rev. Jeremiah Wright.  Moreover, as late as March 2008, Obama said he could “no more disown [Rev. Wright] than I can disown the black community. . .no more disown him than I can my white grandmother. . .Based on the record, the case can be made that Obama still has not resolved the fundamental identity issues that drove him to experiment with weird, obnoxious ideologies that are fundamentally hostile to America and what it has stood for.  That’s scary… The case can also be made, and has been by Stanley Kurtz, that Obama has resolved these issues in favor of a radicalism that, though less virulent than that of Rev. Wright, Frank Davis (the Communist who mentored Obama in Hawaii), and Bill Ayers, is ambivalent at best about America and what it has stood for.  That’s very scary.”

Mr. Mirengoff’s point is that maybe Obama’s move to the left was always preordained based on those he associated with as a youth and young adult before making his mark as a national figure.  What is starting to become obvious, he has no more disowned his radical belief systems but he did keep them well hidden until his Presidency.  Mirengoff added, “His candidacy for high political office likely would have prompted only steps to conceal his ideology.  His ascension to the presidency would have imposed constraints on his ability to act, but not necessarily any change in his underlying beliefs.”

The question that remains, what will a second Obama administration look like without the restraint of having to run again and worse what would a second Obama administration look like if aided by a Democratic run Congress?  These are not insignificant questions and a look at Obama’s past would be instructive, especially since it was not done the first time.  And what does it say about a President when he felt the need to romanticize his own past?  And why invent the need to born outside the United States?  Does the past hold the key to the future of a second Obama administration?

    >>When Jack Cashill advance his theory that President Obama did not write Dreams of My Father but that the book was actually written by Bill Ayers,

Oh, holy crap, I can tell already this is gonna be a classic.

    >> while Obama may not have written much of his classic; it would not have surprised me if he had help in editing and maybe a ghost writer aiding in spots.

Uh…Not that there’s any proof of this at all, but even if true…So what? EVERY book has an editor, and MOST books by people who aren’t first and foremost writers have the assist of a ghost writer. Once again, you guys all of a sudden flip your wigs over something EVERYONE DOES (Teleprompters, anyone?) just because it’s Obama doing it. But noooo, no double standards here…

    >>Now we have found out that Obama’s literary agents managed to make the birthers less crazy by putting in their PR materials that their client was born in Kenya.

Okay, which was a mistake by the agents that had nothing to do with Obama, but go on?

    >>but I do find this episode disturbing, for either Obama is a liar, or filled with a vivid imagination.

OR his literary agents made a mistake. How is Obama tarred with this at all? If YOUR agents put false information in YOUR press materials, would that make YOU a liar? Have you thought this through?

    >>Throughout 2007 and 2008, Obama was one of the least vetted Presidents and much of what we are finding out now could easily have been found out while he was running for President the first time.

Sorry, no, completely wrong. No presidential candidate was ever MORE vetted than Obama. This is just another stupid and horribly wrong talking point you guys like to regurgitate.

Honestly, I can’t go on fisking this gibberish, it’s too depressing that a grown man actually writes like you do. So here’s all I’ll say:

You guys are going to have to find a new road to take this time, because the whole “Who is Barack Obama?” thing isn’t going to work anymore, it’s not going to scare anyone anymore, it’s not going to fill anyone with the sense of dread that Obama is going to invite Bill Ayers over to blow up the White House and turn this country into France or Communist Russia or Black Muslimania or sheer anarchy or whatever the hell you guys are trying to scare people into thinking. Know why?

BECAUSE HE’S THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

He has been for almost three and a half years now, and he’s been a pretty damn moderate one, so much so that almost as many extreme lefties hate him as extreme righties do.

    THAT’S why.

Nobody cares about Ayers and Wright and Michelle’s thesis and the non-existent “Whitey” tape and if he’s really a Muslim and the birth certificate anymore.

    NO ONE CARES.

You know what people care about? The job he’s been doing AS PRESIDENT. If you’re focusing on this silly other stuff, all you’re doing is trumpeting loud and clear that you CAN’T attack his record as President.

And if he really is, as you all love to say, “The Worst President Ever”, then presumably, you CAN focus on his record, so focusing on all this other stuff is just goofy.

But hey, if it means that much to you, knock yourself out. Ignore his record in favor of some mistake his literary agents made two decades ago. Fine by me.

    Can’t wait till November.

Incidentally, glad you managed to fit a hyperlink in there. It probably would have made more sense to link to the Cashill column you were referencing than just an Amazon link to Obama’s book on Amazon, but still…progress!

Space Ghost, what could I possibly say to convince you that your life is futile so that you will finally put a bullet in your head.
Normally, I enjoy the back and forth of vigorous debate, but with every post you make I begin to wonder why your mother didn’t abort you.
I know that you are too cowardly to do it… but perhaps if I could impress on you that you could always slash your wrists. I mean after all you don’t have to be manly in your suicide, you just need to take action. Really, what do you have to look forward to anyway?
Women must find you repulsive, after all you can’t find one to marry you. You’re borish, which means you’re lonely, so you have no friends, I mean not real ones, just the kind that are too kind not to invite you to their party.
Your intellectually shallow, so obviously your frustrated. After all I’m sure you just can’t understand why everyone doesn’t see your point of view.
You don’t have a job, so obviously you do not have any skills that people would find employable. So really, what do you got to lose?
You seem not to be religious, so to swallow some pills just means you will fall asleep and never wake up.
And honestly, I cannot imagine that your parents are proud of you.
Please, do us all a favor and go away. We promise to stand around your coffin and talk about how the world is a worse place now that your gone.

    >>Space Ghost, what could I possibly say to convince you that your life is futile so that you will finally put a bullet in your head.

Preserved for the next time someone complains about my tone. Pretty sure I’ve never advocated that anyone here commit suicide.

    >>Normally, I enjoy the back and forth of vigorous debate, but with every post you make I begin to wonder why your mother didn’t abort you.

    Stay classy.

    >>I know that you are too cowardly to do it… but perhaps if I could impress on you that you could always slash your wrists. I mean after all you don’t have to be manly in your suicide, you just need to take action. Really, what do you have to look forward to anyway?

The fact is that you don’t know anything about me, and since this post demonstrates some serious dementia, I think it’s best to remain that way.

    >>You’re borish, which means you’re lonely, so you have no friends,

    Brilliant logic, yes.

    >>I mean not real ones, just the kind that are too kind not to invite you to their party.

Yawn. Keep talking about stuff you don’t know anything about. Par for the course here.

    >>Your intellectually shallow, so obviously your frustrated.

For reasons I’m not even going to bother to explain to you, that’s the biggest laugh I’ve had all day. Thank you.

    >>After all I’m sure you just can’t understand why everyone doesn’t see your point of view.

No, I understand exactly why. Because the columnists here have zero intellectual curiosity or interest in facts or logic. You guys all tell yourselves what you want to hear and get upset when anyone tries to pull the curtain back and show you how little what you believe resembles reality. This website is essentially political porn, and I’m the guy pointing out that the hottie you’re jerking off to is actually a plain-faced drug addict who was raped by her father throughout her child.

    >>You don’t have a job,

Wrong. You see what happens when you make assumptions and then draw conclusions from them? You wind up looking like even a bigger jackass than your views suggest. And boy howdy is THAT saying something.

    >>so obviously you do not have any skills that people would find employable.

Again: False premise, so faulty conclusion.

    >>So really, what do you got to lose?

Again: Charming. Make sure you tell the kids what you did today, how you urged a stranger to commit suicide because you disagreed with him politically. Oh, they’ll be so proud!

    >>You seem not to be religious, so to swallow some pills just means you will fall asleep and never wake up.

And I assume you ARE religious, so be sure to tell your spiritual leader or whomever as well. I’ve never heard of a religion that would approve of telling people you dislike to kill themselves, but hey, it’s a big world.

    >>And honestly, I cannot imagine that your parents are proud of you.

Ah yes, almost forgot your parents! Be sure and tell mom n’ dad what you did today! Maybe they can print your post out and put it on the fridge!

    >>Please, do us all a favor and go away. We promise to stand around your coffin and talk about how the world is a worse place now that your gone.

Perish the thought the points I raised should actually be addressed.

Well played, sir. You’ve made everyone proud.

So good at this, you folks!

Artie, Oh good you responded. I’m happy to see that you didn’t just take my initial posting to heart. I didn’t bother to read your response because I really don’t care what you have to say, my goal is to convince you to kill yourself.
I don’t mean that as anything but literal. I truly believe that your life is not worth going on. So to start with, can you please stop taking your meds? After all they are not helping you. You are still grotesque, lonely, unloved (even by your parents), and really nothing more than a worthless pile of dung.
Do you honestly believe that you have friends? How many get togethers have you Been invited to recently? Did anyone ask you to come to their memorial day BBQ?
Of course not, you spent the day whiling away at your keyboard hoping, nay praying, that someone might answer one of your posts.
Even your “friends” at the dga didn’t think about inviting poor Artie over. Do you know why? Because no one likes you. No body could possibly care about you. Your own mother reviles you. I bet she wished that she had aborted you. And why not! Look at you a filthy piece of dung, unloved, friendless, not worthy of anyone’s attention. Nobody cares about you.
That’s why you should go off your meds, let the voices talk to you, they are your only friends…. They understand you. Let the, onvince you that your only option Artie is to end it all.
Weromise, we’ll miss you… You can look down from heaven and watch us weep over your scrawny, pale corpse and lament ” oh poor Artie, if only someone could have loved him…” we promise, no really we do.
It must bother you that you are so pathetic that even with your wonderful liberal arts education, your prose doesn’t stand a candle to mine. Ce la vie, you are not even talented enough to hack it as a screen writer, the poor useless souls of the entertainment industry.
I dare you Artie, prove us wrong, prove your manhood kill yourself!!!
