Another Political “Low Blow” Lands Hard

Herman Cain

How many times have we seen one party or the other deal a political “Low Blow” to an opponent?  Probably more times than you can remember.  So it was only a matter of time before the new GOP frontrunner, Herman Cain, appeared in some ones crosshairs.  Those crosshairs appear to be either those of the Democratic Party or those of one of his GOP opponents.  The bullets are 4 accusations of sexual harassment leveled against Herman Cain. Are all these allegations true?  I seriously doubt it.  If they were true why would these woman have waited 14 years to bring them to everyone’s attention?

Two of the women are prohibited from talking about their experience due to terms of an agreement they have with the “National Restaurant Association.”  But there are now two other women who have stepped out of the shadows and into the light.  One, Sharon Bialek, has retained the services of high powered ambulance chaser Gloria Allred, a known Democrat supporter.  So now with her high priced Democratic attorney by her side Bialek has decided 14 years later to go public with this story.  Now that Cain is in the public eye and the present GOP leader in the Presidential race they all decide to air out the dirty laundry.  Makes you wonder doesn’t it.

Sharon Bialek and Gloria Allred

Now I’m not saying these accusations are untrue, that is for Herman Cain to say and as I write this he is doing just that at a press conference.  The problem I have with all of this is the timing of the accusations.  If Herman Cain was in the lower 2% of the GOP candidates presently running do you think these women would have ever come forward?  They say they’re not doing this for the money but you can bet the farm that some of them will be showing up on the “financially lucrative” talk show circuit.  Gloria Allred said she is not being paid for her representation of Bialek, that she is doing this for “all” the sexually harassed women.   So basically she is not doing it to get her name in print or her face on the news; she’s not doing this to get her and her client on the numerous talk shows; she’s not doing this for anything that will benefit Gloria Allred or the Democratic Party.  Yeah right.

Herman and Gloria Cain

The Democrats are saying they had no part in this that they want Cain to win the GOP nomination.  Maybe so, at least officially, but most of us know that strange things happen “unofficially” around this time in every major political campaign.  Sadly these accusations have derailed the whole GOP political machine.  For the next few months this will be all the media will be talking about.  The press will allow no GOP candidate to discuss anything else.

Has this damaged the Herman Cain campaign? Most certainly.  But to tell you the truth and as much as I like Cain, he was never going to be the GOP candidate for president anyway.  That has already been decided by the GOP.  And that man, sadly, is Mitt Romney.

Once again, its We The People vs. We the Elite People of Washington DC. Yes, waffler-in-chief will be the GOP nominee because he’s “likeable.”

Trying to break We The Elite People’s hold on Washington DC, has been and will be, a truly uncertain task and difficult feat.

Why? Because the GOP electorate is about as united and of one mind as a herd of cats. 11/08/11 elections proved this.

Mr. Reagan knew this. That’s why he spoke directly to We The People. He had a problem, he would lay it out before We The People to support, or not, his idea…period. No dancing around a pin-head, as is current politico speak…straight forward, to the point. Now decide. That was Mr. Reagan. And We The People liked it and supported his ideas.

Today, Mr. Cain, Newt and some others are trying to do the same. The Elite MSM of Washington DC has co-opted their message by burying it in some trumped-up “dog-and-pony” show.

Sad, We The People are the losers for this massive thrust of side bars and street talk.

Wake-up! Our US Constitution is being co-opted. Vote massively because massive fraud has befallen our USA. God Bless America.

I agree to a high level. The election process is not unlike organized crime.
Candidates are pre-chosen and then the Party finds a way to make the lines meet at some point.
Romney is in my opinion bought and paid for and the GOP is going to get him in the seat by hook or by crook.
I think Cain is probably guilty of at least some of these recent accusations but he was never intended to win and thus got in the way.
The entire system is corrupt and the voice of an honest man can’t be heard.

Putting the allegations against Cain aside, I believe that his handling of the situation speaks very poorly of his abilities. He knew this story was going to break 10 days before it did, yet he began by parsing the difference between “settlement” and “agreement” and it seems his management of the situation has been downhill since then.
