Abortion, Margaret Sanger and Eugenics

Frank DeMartini

Margaret Sanger

Planned Parenthood was founded in 1921 as the American Birth Control League by Margaret Sanger.  Ms. Sanger was a known progressive from that era and a firm believer in Eugenics and Race Control.  Contrary to current liberal beliefs, the original birth control movement of which Margaret Sanger was a proponent had nothing to do with a women’s right to choose.  It was all about white supremacy and the cleansing of the races.  It was about eliminating the undesirables.  And, yet the Democratic Party of the 21st Century continually claims that birth control is a women’s rights issue and has been so from the start.  They ignore the past because they do no want Americans to know the truth.  Accordingly, this article shall be another of what is becoming one of my rants about the media and the Democratic control of the message.

In the same vein that the Republican Party is demonized by the left as being racist, the Democratic Party has controlled the media on the issue of birth control and abortion.  Let’s look at some of the facts in the movement spearheaded by Margaret Sanger.

To begin with, Ms. Sanger believed that lighter skin races were more intelligent than those with darker skin.  She also felt that undesirables, i.e. blacks and those with other undesirable qualities, such as “morons, etc., should not be permitted to have children and should be schooled accordingly.  However, she was not above using members of the black race when necessary to achieve her goals.  One of her most famous quotes is:

“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”  Margaret Sanger’s December 19, 1939 letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble, 255 Adams Street, Milton, Massachusetts

The implications of this quote should be clear to even the most ignorant among us:  Use black ministers to make sure that blacks don’t know we want to get rid of them.

It has often been said that Ms. Sanger was the inspiration of the Nazi movement to exterminate undesirables and there is plenty of evidence of that on the net.  However, according to Wikipedia, “Sanger denounced the aggressive and lethal Nazi eugenics program,” while maintaining that her beliefs could be attained by the use of birth control and proper planning so that the undesirables did not ever have children and euthanasia would not be necessary.  There is also similar evidence all over the net that Ms. Sanger was against abortion.  Again, she believed that all of her policies and beliefs could be met by the proper use of birth control.  In a strange twist upon this, she believed that a fetus was a human life and that abortion was murder.  Kind of ironic that the woman responsible for the Planned Parenthood abortion mills was actually against the killing of fetuses.  I wonder what she we think of her creation now?

The Founder of Modern Progressivism - President Woodrow Wilson

Here is further evidence of her positions as set forth in her address before the New History Society on January 17th, 1922 in New York City

First, put into action President Wilson’s fourteen points, upon which terms Germany and Austria surrendered to the Allies in 1918.

Second, have Congress set up a special department for the study of population problems and appoint a Parliament of Population, the directors representing the various branches of science: this body to direct and control the population through birth rates and immigration, and to direct its distribution over the country according to national needs consistent with taste, fitness and interest of individuals. The main objects of the Population Congress would be:

a. to raise the level and increase the general intelligence of population.

b. to increase the population slowly by keeping the birth rate at its present level of fifteen per thousand, decreasing the death rate below its present mark of 11 per thousand.

c. to keep the doors of immigration closed to the entrance of certain aliens whose condition is known to be detrimental to the stamina of the race, such as feebleminded, idiots, morons, insane, syphilitic, epileptic, criminal, professional prostitutes, and others in this class barred by the immigration laws of 1924.

d. to apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is tainted, or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring.

e. to insure the country against future burdens of maintenance for numerous offspring as may be born of feebleminded parents, by pensioning all persons with transmissible disease who voluntarily consent to sterilization.

f. to give certain dysgenic groups in our population their choice of segregation or sterilization.

g. to apportion farm lands and homesteads for these segregated persons where they would be taught to work under competent instructors for the period of their entire lives.

The first step would thus be to control the intake and output of morons, mental defectives, epileptics.

The second step would be to take an inventory of the secondary group such as illiterates, paupers, unemployables, criminals, prostitutes, dope-fiends; classify them in special departments under government medical protection, and segregate them on farms and open spaces as long as necessary for the strengthening and development of moral conduct.

Having corralled this enormous part of our population and placed it on a basis of health instead of punishment, it is safe to say that fifteen or twenty millions of our population would then be organized into soldiers of defense—defending the unborn against their own disabilities.

The third step would be to give special attention to the mothers’ health, to see that women who are suffering from tuberculosis, heart or kidney disease, toxic goitre, gonorrhea, or any disease where the condition of pregnancy disturbs their health are placed under public health nurses to instruct them in practical, scientific methods of contraception in order to safeguard their lives—thus reducing maternal mortality.

The above steps may seem to place emphasis on a health program instead of on tariffs, moratoriums and debts, but I believe that national health is the first essential factor in any program for universal peace.

With the future citizen safeguarded from hereditary taints, with five million mental and moral degenerates segregated, with ten million women and ten million children receiving adequate care, we could then turn our attention to the basic needs for international peace.

There would then be a definite effort to make population increase slowly and at a specified rate, in order to accommodate and adjust increasing numbers to the best social and economic system.

In the meantime we should organize and join an International League of Low Birth Rate Nations to secure and maintain World Peace.

Another Democratic Shame

Can it be any more clearer.  Not only was Ms. Sanger a blatant racist, but she was also for the control of the “unwanted.”  What I cannot understand is why the Republican Party of today doesn’t make sure that all of this is clear to the American people.  Why can’t we get our message out?  I’m just recently beginning to hear Democrats are the Party that was against black Americans.  As you all know, the Republican Party is the of Abraham Lincoln,  the Party of Civil Rights,  and the Party of Martin Luther King.  The Democratic Party was the party of Slavery, Jim Crow, the KKK, forced segregation and George Wallace.  But yet, we Republicans are painted as racists on a daily basis!

Why do we let the Democrats control the media?  Why don’t we do something about it?  Democrats started the abortion movement, not to give a women rights, but to cleanse society of the unwanted.  Let’s shout that from the rooftops.  Maybe, at some point, people will start listening.  And, if we are lucky they will start believing the truth.

To learn more about eugenics, you can read the great book by Greg Dorr, PhD: Segregation’s Science: Eugenics and Society in Virginia.

People read less this days and using the intellect is problematic. To parse bias is work. One legitimate way to censor books is to overwhelm with prejudice (Pre-judged opinion) It is easier to follow the crowd, herd mentality, group think, than embrace a probing and uncomfortable “informed” decision. When truly informed, one can never be absolutely “sure.” Does Wikipedia and “Occupy Wall Street” come to mind?

Margaret Sanger is a hero of Secretary State Hillary Clinton. “(Hillary) compares the eugenics advocate and racist Margaret Sanger to Thomas Jefferson. In fact, Hillary seems to think Jefferson was a lesser person than Sanger because he held slaves.

Margaret Sanger referred to immigrants and Catholics as reckless breeders, writing in her book, Pivot of Civilization, “[They're] an unceasingly spawning class of human beings who never should have been born at all.” (Sanger, p.187).

“Sanger broadly supported the Eugenics movement, advocating for a superior race that was free of poor, immigrant, and minority citizens. She even spoke at a rally of the Klu Klux Klan (reportedly a Democrat organization). Despite this evidence, Planned Parenthood, the nation’s leading abortion provider, has done little to distance itself from Sanger’s legacy.”

You have wandered into an area of significant thought, a place where few care to go; it is exhausting and should be very uncomfortable. Margaret Sanger’s solution to “illegal immigration”, she used more uncomfortable, for the “left”, images, is rarely mentioned.

“Sanger embraced Malthusian eugenics. Thomas Robert Malthus, a 19th century cleric and professor of political economy, believed a population time bomb threatened the existence of the human race. He viewed social problems such as poverty, deprivation and hunger as evidence of this “population crisis.”

According to writer George Grant, Malthus condemned charities and other forms of benevolence, because he believed they only exacerbated the problems. His answer was to restrict population growth of certain groups of people.”

“Margaret Sanger aligned herself with the eugenicists whose ideology prevailed in the early 20th century. Eugenicists strongly espoused racial supremacy and “purity,” particularly of the “Aryan” race. Eugenicists hoped to purify the bloodlines and improve the race by encouraging the “fit” to reproduce and the “unfit” to restrict their reproduction. They sought to contain the “inferior” races through segregation, sterilization, birth control and abortion.”

Fascinating is the study of the Fabian socialists, a semi- secret society and their agenda, which is moving forward beautifully for them as they “hammer” away in forging the New World Order with the North American Union here in the Western Hemisphere.

The “Occupy Wall Street’ movement is in step with the advancement of socialism, As pictured in the Fabian Window-the hyperlink, the Fabian’s have as their coat of arms a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and they desire to mould the earth “nearer to the hearts desire.”

    http://awakeandarise.org/article/FabianWindowPopUp.htm

George Bernard Shaw unmasked the simple mindset of the semi-secret Fabian Socialist Society, as he was one of their number. Shaw stated the Lucifarian goal:

“Under Socialism, you would not be allowed to be poor. You would be forcibly fed, clothed, lodged, taught, and employed whether you liked it or not. If it were discovered that you had not character and industry enough to be worth all this trouble, you might possibly be executed in a kindly manner; but whilst you were permitted to live, you would have to live well.”

But George Bernard Shaw wrote so elegantly being an Irish playwright and a co-founder of the “London School of Economics”, now the “The London School of Economics and Political Science”, founded in 1895 by Fabian Society members Sidney Webb, Beatrice Webb and George Bernard Shaw.

Ezra Taft Benson, Dwight Eisenhower’s Secretary of Agriculture, the first man the US Press predicted to be ousted from the administration given his staunch anti-communist and severe anti-socialist policies stated the agenda of what he called the “socialist-communist conspiracy:” […]

“You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright, but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you’ll finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you. We’ll so weaken your economy until you’ll fall like overripe fruit into our hands.”

“And they’re ahead of schedule in their devilish scheme.” (Ezra Taft Benson “Our Immediate Responsibility.” Devotional Address at Brigham Young University. circa 1968.”). Follow “Occupy Wall Street” and ask if we don’t agree!!!

I suspect the comments for this Blog, the subject requires volumes, will be minimal. Why, because these thoughts are being taught, alive and well in our august universities, quietly waiting for the “Glenn Beck” predictable revolution, if we don’t pivot. It takes courage to oppose evil. And people are intellectually lazy, essentially moral cowards, ….or how did we get here in the first place?

Margaret Sanger abandoned eugenics in 1919. What she wanted was women to be given control of their reproductive organs and choices. End of story. And incidentally, she was a key factor in the development of the birth control pill. If there is a person here whose sex life has not been relieved by a certain amount of stress as a result of this, let him/her cast the first stone. I’ll be right here.

I disagree. You are buying into the liberal propaganda. If you read her quotes and the dates thereof, her belief in eugenics goes well into the 1920′s. She was and always will be a racist. Unfortunately, liberals tend to shield their eyes from the truth so that there emotions can control their lives.
