“But when our interests and values are at stake, we have a responsibility to act. That’s what’s happened  in Libya over the course of these last six weeks.”

President Obama

That is a quote from the President’s speech last night.  He used words like “limited role” and “turning over the leadership role” to describe our military involvement.  He said we were doing this to “prevent the massacre of the Libyan people by their leader Mouammar  Kadhafi.”

It was obvious this speech was extremely well written.  It had all the correct “buzz” words and was delivered with just the proper amount of emotion but was it the truth?  Let’s see.

“When our interests and values are at stake, we have the responsibility to act.” But what are our interests in that region of the world?  To become close friends with the people living there?  That’s probably not going to happen because we came to the rescue of the poor Libyan people.  Their hatred for us runs way to deep for that to happen overnight.  To protect the Libyan people from genocide?  Kadhafi has been murdering and imprisoning his people for 42 years, why the concern now?  Oil?  Interesting thought.  After all Libya is the largest oil producing country in Africa.  But we import no oil from them.  Well if we don’t  who does?  Now that is the question we should have been asking from the beginning and you will be surprised by the answer.

Most of the Libyan oil goes to a company called Oilinvest.   According to several sources Tamoil is the trading name of the Oilinvest group and in 1980 it was purchased by “Libyan State Entities.”  Oh it gets better.

According to Wikipedia and Netoil itself “The NETOIL INC. Group of Companies founded and built Europe’s Tamoil Corporation by purchasing and combining all of the Italian assets of Amoco (Standard Oil Company of Indiana) and of Texaco Corporation (1,000 service stations each), starting in the 1980s. With 100% ownership, the NETOIL INC. Group of Companies expanded the company to 3,000 service stations, three refineries and an extensive pipeline distribution system.”

It doesn’t stop there…This group sells a largeamount of its assets(oil) to Switzerland (1990), Germany (1991), Spain (1992) and the Netherlands (1993).  Well it just so happens Germany, Spain and the Netherlands are all members of NATO.  Don’t you love it when a plan comes together?

Okay so there’s good chance oil was at least on our Presidents mind, if not certain NATO allies minds, when he contemplated this military action.  Was he forced by our allies into this or manipulated into it?  Either way you look at it it’s an embarrassment for the United States.  But it appears this President is alright with that.  I guess as long as “we” don’t offend anyone we’re big enough to take a few insults.   We’ll the President is wrong  in the assumption it is “okay” to be forced or cajoled into an action that will put American lives in harm’s way.  He is wrong to assume we are big enough to take a few insults.  He is wrong to give a speech like he did last night and expect the American people to accept his attempt to play fast and loose with the facts.  And he is very wrong if he really believes the American people fell for it.

He has presented to the country and the world a very well rehearsed outline of events leading up to the military action against Libya.  But he neglected to explain how he plans the United States exit from this action.  He mentioned numerous times about how we will soon be taking a backseat and allow NATO to run the show.  However he neglected to mention the NATO Commander in Chief is Admiral James Stravridis, a United States Naval Officer.  So much for the United States taking a back seat.  He also neglected to mention that both Germany and France have threatened to pull out of the coalition if NATO takes command.  Nothing like dissention among the children to brighten up ones day.

So here we sit with fighters in the air and naval assets launching cruise missiles daily.  Here we sit as the United States actively attempts to force Mouammar Khadafi from power and to protect the oil flow to our European allies.  Here we sit while our leader uses the Libyan people as a shield to protect and hide the real reasons of our assault.  Not very American is it?  But we’re big enough to take a few insults aren’t we?

The lies continue!!! Of all the times in the past 30 years the liberals have accused Republican presidents of going to war for oil, when time proved to them all to be wrong!!! Now for Obama to go to war solely for oil is pretty ironic don’t you think!!!!

How can he keep getting away with his nefarious agenda? With the help of a complacent lamestream media of course. All dictators get them on their side by coercion, bribery & threats. Our congress has to be involved in it for him not to have been at least impeached by now.
