Where is Dan’s Voice?

Here is a letter that a reader forwarded to Elizabeth Donney of Dan Lungren’s Office. I find it very informative regarding certain policies and the agenda of the Obama administration. I am also happy to state that this blog is referenced as source material. It is being used with permission of the writer. However, I am withholding the writer’s name to protect his privacy.

Hello Elizabeth:

You may recall that I visited with you and your staff on August 14 at Congressman Lungren’s office. To put a face with this email, you may remember me as a Kaiser employee, motorcycle rider, private pilot and last year’s Folsom Music Boosters President.

When we met, I expressed my serious concerns regarding the new direction taken by the federal government. I also shared with you my view that Congressman Lungren has not been very visible in the media or to his constituency regarding specific news events. I said that conservatives in this country were a powerful force but felt isolated and under attack. Since then, much has happened, including:

The Acorn scandal and the disclosure of its criminal activity and ties to SEIU, Apollo, Tides and hundreds of smaller organizations using taxpayer funds for political agendas.

The conference call directed by the Whitehouse instructing the “non-profit” federally funded NEA on how to create an iconic vision of Obama and his agenda.

The controversy over the insertion of Obama’s political agenda into public schools by broadcasting a live speech during classroom hours.

The resignation of Van Jones when his radical communist and racist views were made public.

The disturbing comments from the Mark Lloyd, chief diversity officer of the FCC, admiring Chavez for taking control of the Venezuela media.

The misrepresentations of the healthcare bill during Obama’s address to congress and the fallout from Joe Wilson’s unfortunate outburst.

The rush to vote on the healthcare bill without making it public and the censor of debate in congress.

Obama’s policy shift which no longer supports Israel.

Obama’s policy shift which no longer supports Poland-based US missile defense plans for Europe.

Our embarrassing presence at the UN during the rants of Chavez, Ahmadinejad and Kandfi while other nations, including Canada, walked out.

The unprecedented rise in Fox News ratings as virtually all of the other television media ignores or marginalizes significant conservative stories, including the March on Washington.

Circulation of the You Tube clip showing Maxine Waters grilling Shell Oil President John Hofmeister and threatening to “socialize” (her own words) the oil industry. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrA9zj94NuU&feature;=related

Circulation of the You Tube clip showing Democrat Alan Grayson questions Elizabeth Coleman, Inspector General of the Federal Reserve, regarding oversight of the Fed’s ever-expanding balance sheet, and the potential multi-trillion dollar loss that would be dumped on US taxpayers. Her ignorance of the situation is frightening. http://dailybail.com/home/there-are-no-words-to-describe-the-following-part-ii.html.

This week’s revelation that the US Postal Service is now billions of dollars in debt.

The list goes on…So my concerns remain the same. Can you please point me to any news articles or events where Congressman Lungren has spoken out on any of these events? I still feel as if Fox News and a handful of talk radio programs are the only voices reflecting outrage on the level of corruption, gross negligence and arrogance which seems to be driving the federal government today. Respectfully, I do not believe that I should have to monitor Dan’s web site to hear his views. He needs to make some news of his own. If he does not, I can tell you that there is a growing sentiment among many of my friends to simply vote everyone out of office regardless of political party and start over. We need conservative leadership, as reflected in this blog.

This really covers a lot of ground and reflections. Anxiously awaiting for the response. Thanks Mr. DeMartini for posting for us…

Is the "great experiment" doomed to failure? I'd really like to start hearing some ideas to supplement the critical commentary. Do the people of this country really hold the power? Or, is our only strength our ability to opinionize?

Oh wow, this is absolutely excellent!
We get so bashed out there, day to day, it is really encouraging to see some hope and common sense!

I was watching Fox News this morning Sunday October 4, 2009 and Representative Dan Lungren was interviewed. The host asked him if this health bill will be bi partisan and he doesn't think there is much of a chance that happening. He was also asked if the Republican party is the party of No and his answer was that they have their own version of the bill but so far no consideration. A couple things I remember he pointed out is that they 'Republicans' believe Insurance should be more competitive and cross state lines and that tort reform needs to be looked at and that both would lower costs significantly…

He also stressed that both the House and the Senate should listen to the people and he gave the example of the Tea Parties across the nation and they should take heed.

I thought it was very interesting.
